EDT has undertaken a combined mechanical, electrical and energy management role at the college. The college is in an isolated location and therefore relies to a large extent on its own energy/water resources. Heat is provided through oil-fired central heating

As part of their on-site improvement programme, EDT advised Ampleforth on issues relating to energy and in particular on the type of heating system, boilers, radiators etc, to install to ensure maximum coverage and efficiency.

EDT also negotiated the oil and electricity contracts with the suppliers and monitored consumption on a monthly basis.
