Specification for a Fabric Filter Plant for a 50 T/H Coal Fired Boiler

• Client: A major UK foodstuff manufacturer

In order to maintain compliance with current emissions legislation, the client reviewed particulate emissions from one of their 50 t/h coal fired boilers and engaged EDT to review appropriate emissions control technologies. This resulted in the client electing to investigate fabric filtration with dry scrubbing and wet scrubbing.

EDT produced a bespoke specification for a fabric filter taking into account the process and operational peculiarities of the boiler. This specification went out to tender to 4 filter suppliers with the 4 tender returns being evaluated by EDT for cost efficiency.
