Directors Profiles :
Peter has a broad base of experience across many types of combustion and incineration plant. He has operated and worked in the development of conventional coal, oil and gas fired combustion equipment including both conventional and advanced systems. He was part of the team involved in the development of the largest, single atmospheric fluidised bed boiler in the UK. More recently, his experience has extended to circulating fluidised bed combustion where he has conducted trials burning a range of fuel types, and in the development of improved boiler control systems incorporating energy efficient features.
Achievements:
Developed an improved solid state control system for conventional coal-fired boiler plant (CCS) |
Advised manufacturers on current state-of-the-art fluidised combustion techniques |
Developed equipment to improve combustion and operation of coal fired shell boilers |
Optimised design of Circulating Fluidised Bed Combustion Systems. |
Combustion expertise with a range of biomass fuels including wood and chicken litter |
Developed a novel grate bar design to optimise combustion |
Robin has extensive experience in combustion and pollution control. His early career involved him in the development of both atmospheric and pressurised fluidised bed combustion plant. His formative responsibilities have also included investigations into the performance of SOx and NOx control systems. He has project managed several research programmes and published papers in these fields. His expertise has more recently extended to industrial/commercial boiler and incineration plant which has lead to him writing several articles on waste to energy and related issues.
Achievements:
Energy management - Developed the Circulating Pump Control System (CPCS) |
Designed pollution abatement equipment |
Designed and developed the Zeta Clip split filter cage linking system |
Designed and developed the Intelligent Filter Control System (IFCS) |
Published several papers and articles on gaseous emission control and waste to energy |
Consulted on energy efficiency in schools and leisure centres |
